Step-by-Step: How the Flight Works

Meeting point – at the VM8 lift
We meet at the agreed spot in Åre and go through how the flight will work. Your pilot will answer any questions you might have.

Ride up to the takeoff point
Depending on the weather and wind direction, we choose the best takeoff site for the day. We often start from Åreskutan, where you’ll already have an amazing view before takeoff.

Takeoff
You’ll take a few steps together with your pilot – and suddenly, you’re flying! The lift-off is smooth and gentle, and you’ll feel like you’re gliding effortlessly into the sky.

During the flight
Now it’s time to relax and enjoy! You’ll see Åre from a completely new perspective. If you want, you can even try steering the paraglider for a short moment. The flight usually lasts between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the weather.

Landing
We land softly on our landing field at Draklanda. All you need to do is take a few steps as we touch down – easy and smooth.

All our pilots are licensed and trained according to the Swedish Paragliding Association’s regulations. We only fly when the weather conditions are safe, and your safety is always our highest priority.

Who Can Fly Tandem?

Almost everyone! You don’t need to be strong or have any prior experience. Usually, anyone from around 8 years old and up can join a tandem flight.
